Ka Ying Rising set to step out at Randwick
Sydney racing fans will get their first proper look at Ka Ying Rising when the world's highest-rated racehorse steps out at the Randwick barrier trials on Tuesday, October 6.
Zac Purton will be aboard the Hong Kong superstar, with the trials getting underway from 8:30am and entry to Randwick free.

Pretty Baby owners knock back $2.5 million
The connections of Pretty Baby have chosen to chase the Group 1 dream after rejecting a $2.5 million offer for their talented three-year-old filly.
Trainer Gordon Richards revealed owner John McKinnon and his fellow connections elected to keep the dual Stakes winner despite the substantial offer.
Pretty Baby finished runner-up in Sunday's Listed Jim Moloney Stakes and will now remain at Caulfield before tackling the Group 1 Thousand Guineas on October 17.
She pulled up OK – she'll stay there now and go to the Guineas.
Knight's Choice bypasses Flemington
Knight's Choice will miss Saturday's Flemington meeting, with trainers John Symons and Sheila Laxon wary of the forecast rain.
The 2024 Melbourne Cup winner will instead head to the Group 2 Herbert Power Stakes (2400m) at Caulfield on October 10.
Symons reports Knight's Choice is "going really well" heading deeper into the spring.
St Gotthard heads straight to the Coolmore
St Gotthard will be saved for the Group 1 Coolmore Stud Stakes at Flemington on October 31.
The Snitzel colt will attempt to emulate his full-brother Switzerland, who won the same race in 2024.
Stablemate Central Europe is also heading south and will contest the Group 1 Caulfield Guineas on October 10.
Turnbull decision looming for Birdman
Underwood Stakes winner Birdman may bypass Saturday's Group 1 Turnbull Stakes at Flemington.
If connections elect to keep him at home this weekend, the Group 1 Might And Power Stakes at Caulfield on October 10 will be his next assignment.
